Legacy Christian Academy. Five Years of Campus Renovations in Frisco, Texas

Since 2022, MTR Contractors has been a trusted renovation partner for Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco, delivering campus improvement projects across the Lower School, the athletic facilities, and the Early Learning Center. What began as a single ceiling replacement has grown into an ongoing, multi-year program of summer renovations — the kind of repeat institutional relationship that only comes from finishing on time, on scope, and inside the narrow windows a working school campus allows.

Campus-Wide Ceiling System Replacement

Our first engagement covered approximately 15,000 square feet of suspended acoustic ceiling across campus. The scope included full protection of floors and contents, removal of the existing tile field, removal of 37 ceiling fans with every electrical box properly capped, and installation of new acoustic tile on the existing grid, with the grid inspected and confirmed sound before a single tile went up. Clean demolition, daily debris haul-off, and a spotless handover.

Boys & Girls Locker Rooms Remodel, Athletic Facility

A complete gut renovation of both locker rooms at the main campus. The demolition alone tells the story: 553 square feet of resilient flooring, 346 square feet of floor tile, and over 1,400 square feet of wall tile set over cinder block, all removed, with the foundation chipped and releveled to create proper shower pans.

The rebuild was spec'd for decades of student use:

Custom-fabricated ADA-compliant toilet partitions in plastic laminate and solid-plastic, water-resistant shower partitions carrying a 25-year warranty
Nearly 900 square feet of polyurea/epoxy floor coating over etched concrete, seamless, waterproof, and built for locker room traffic
28 linear feet of hardwood benches on steel tube pedestal legs, plus custom overhead cubby storage
30 commercial-grade nickel-plated coat hooks, each mechanically anchored into the block
ADA shower fixtures, grab bars, and foldable shower benches, with concrete jack-hammered to relocate drain lines where the new layout demanded it
12 new LED recessed flat-panel lights and a full three-color repaint of walls, ceilings, doors, and trim
Lower School Restrooms & Finishes

Across 2023–2025 we returned for Lower School bathroom renovations, commercial toilet replacements with supply-house-spec'd fixtures, drywall work, and a full wallpaper remodel, the steady maintenance-and-upgrade work that keeps a private school campus looking the way parents expect it to.

Early Learning Center

At the Academy's Early Learning Center on Lebanon Road, MTR has handled commercial door installations and interior modifications, including new door openings — work that requires precise coordination in spaces built for the school's youngest students.

2026: South Campus Expansion & the Summer Projects Program

The relationship continues to grow. Current and recent work includes a new South Campus bathroom addition designed with a licensed architectural partner, a custom glass wall partition built from dedicated shop drawings, and a formal Summer Projects program, a package of renovations executed inside the summer break, covered under a dedicated builder's risk policy, and sequenced so the campus opens ready on the first day of school.
